Fall Elections Starting to Take Shape

-There is a week and a half left before the filling deadline for the fall elections, however, there are already a few races voters can count on.
Darwin Zwieg is not seeking reelection for district attorney. His position could be filled by Clark County corporation counsel, Lyndsey Brunette who has filed the papers or Shari Post of Chili who is on the GAB’s candidate list but hasn’t filed the papers.
In the county, voters will be selecting a county clerk, treasurer, and register of deeds. Current clerk Christina Jensen and current treasurer Kathryn Bruegger have filed candidacy statements for their positions.
For register of deeds, Lois Hagedorn is retiring and filling candidacy for those positions are Marcia Ziegler of Neillsville and Peggy Walter of Neillsville.
