Job Fair in Neillsville

-The City of Neillsville played host to the Clark County Job Fair yesterday morning at the Apple Valley Banquet Room.
There were well over a dozen employers at the job fair hoping to attract potential future employees. Some businesses there included Grassland, OEM, Figi’s, Hardee’s and more.
Each one had a table set up so they could fill their portion of the 150 jobs open that day and the possible 153 open in the near future. Many employers are looking for workers with a specific skill set or some college training, which can be difficult in our area.
A representative from Global Finishing Solutions said, “We come to these job fairs to find potential candidates and we usually have descent success.”
A Grassland representative said, “We are always in the market for new employees with a strong work ethic and good education.”
Many people were already filing in, filling out applications, and taking to their possible future employers.
The job fair didn’t have as good a turnout as they were hoping for, but the CCEDC plans to host another job fair later this summer.
