-Business leaders in the county agree Clark County's economy is making a comeback.

That was the positive thought that flowed around the room in Loyal yesterday at the Clark County Economic Development Corporations Annual Meeting and Dinner.

Sheila Nyberg, executive director of the CCEDC said the county has begun to recover from the recent recession. She also said, "We are booming with jobs.”
About 70 people attended the event, including local government and business leaders as well as state Rep. Scott Suder and state Sen. Terry Moulton.

The event highlighted three successful Clark County manufacturers.

Mark Tyler, founder and president of OEM Fabricators, said the company is forecasting 25 percent growth which he said, "is insanely high." It's on pace to bring in $100 million in annual revenue.

Thorp-based Wisconsin Bench Manufacturing hasn't yet rebounded to pre-recession sales figures. But Ron Dervestski, chief financial officer, said it's "slowly inching back up.”

Tom Bailey, vice president of operations Kerry Ingredients and Flavours, said the Owen plant is projected to top its average output this year.
