Wood County Dispatcher Honored

-A Wood County 911 dispatcher is being honored in a special way for work she did back in October of last year.
According to WSAW, when most people think of 911 dispatchers, you probably don’t think of many awards being given to them for their work. But that’s just what one wood county woman is receiving after her hard work a few months ago. Cindy Agacki received the telecommunicator of the year award.
The award is given by the Wisconsin chapters of National Emergency Number Association and Association of Public Safety Officials. The award comes following Cindy’s work in October of 2011. She took a call from a suicidal man who said he was going to blow his house up and kill himself.
Cindy’s conversations with the man lead to authorities being able to get to the man before he was able to cause any harm.
