Nominations for Fall Elections Start April 15th

-If you’re interested in running for one of the positions coming up in the fall elections, you better start your paperwork because it’s due June 1st.
Besides the presidential elections occurring this November, there are also some local races happening.
Senator Herb Kohl and Congress Representative Sean Duffy terms are expiring as of January 2013.
District Representatives of the Assembly Scott Suder and Mark Radcliffe terms expire in January of 2013.
Darwin Zwieg is not seeking reelection for Clark County District Attorney and his term expires in January of 2013.
Three county officer positions will be in the running as the terms end in January of 2013 as well. The positions are County Clerk, currently held by Christina Jensen, County Treasurer, held by Kathryn Brugger, and Register of Deeds, held by Lois Hagedorn.
Nomination papers can begin circulation on April 15th.
