Spring Sports Seasons Underway

With most spring sports such as track & field, baseball, softball already having started practice, boys golf can begin preparing for their seasons with practice starting today.
While track & field meets have been scheduled since March 13, the start of regular-season competition in spring baseball and softball is tomorrow. Unseasonably mild temperatures and dry conditions in March have provided ample opportunity for baseball and softball teams to practice and train outdoors.
The Neillsville girls softball team, with some members just completing the basketball season, will have a scrimmage on Tuesday as they host Black River Falls.
The Neillsville softball and baseball teams will open the regular season when they host Pittsville on Thursday. Both games starting at 5 pm.
The Neillsville Girls Varsity track team is at Marshfield for a meet on Tuesday. And on Thursday there will be a boys and girls indoor meet at the Fieldhouse in Neillsville with Alma Center Lincoln, Loyal, Owen-Withee, and Granton participating.
