Neillsville Girls Are State Champs!!!

The Neillsville Warrior girls basketball team completed an unbeaten 28-0 season with a Division 4 State Championship on Saturday afternoon in Madision - the first in school history for girls basketball.
Neillsville downed Oshkosh Lourdes 52-42 to win the gold ball at the Kohl Center.
The Warriors were led by McKenzie Trunkel with 15 points including a big 3 pointer with just over 2 minutes to play that put Neillsville up by 6. Trunkel finished 4-9 from beyond the arc. Caitlynne Naugthon added 9 points and Jenny Lindner had 8. Neillsville's defense held the Lady Knights scoreless in the final 2:21 of the game.

There will be a "Welcome Home" ceremony in the Fieldhouse on Sunday evening starting at 7 pm. The public is welcomed and encouraged to attend.
