Granton School Board Considering Co-Op Basketball

-The Granton School Board held its meeting Tuesday evening.
The school board did accept the resignation of Mark Schroeder. The superintendent did admit they “reluctantly accept the resignation as Mr. Schroeder has been a wonderful and loyal member of the teaching staff.” Mark Schroeder was the Science, Math, Social Studies, and Health teacher of grades 6-8.
The board also had a lengthy discussion, community members included, about co-op sports. Granton is already paired with Greenwood for football, but they are now looking at combining basketball for the upcoming school year.
The Granton School District has looked to local area schools to see what would be the most beneficial to them.
No action was taken on combining the basketball program at this time.
