Neillsville Girls Win Cloverbelt Championship

The Neillsville Girls basketball team successfully defended their Cloverbelt Conference Title on Saturday, beating Eau Claire Regis 33-28.
Neillsville (22-0) led after one quarter 8-6 and then outscored Regis (20-2) 7-4 in the second quarter to take a 5 point lead into the locker room.
The Warriors increased their lead to seven, 23-17 after 3 quarters and then held on in the 4th quarter to win 33-28.
Jenny Lindner of Neillsville led all scorers with 15 points while the Neillsville defense held the Rambler's leading scorer, Heather Bowe, to just 4 points.
In the 2nd Place Playoff game, Owen-Withee dominated Osseo-Fairchild 58-39. Alyssa Gordon led the Blackhawks with 15 points.
