UW River Falls and UW Stevens Point WIAC Champs

The UW River Falls men and the UW Stevens Point women won their respective WIAC basketball tournament championships this weekend.
On the men's side, the University of Wisconsin-River Falls overcame 14 first half turnovers to defeat UW-Whitewater 64-58 on Sunday in the WIAC Men's Basketball Tournament championship game. The Falcons (20-7) earned their first-ever tournament crown and secured the WIAC's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Championship.
For the fifth consecutive season, the UW-Stevens Point women’s basketball team captured the WIAC tournament championship as it defeated UW-Whitewater 80-61 on Saturday. With the victory, UW-Stevens Point (23-4) received an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship.
