Several New Items Approved at Neillsville School Board Meeting

-The Neillsville School had their board meeting last night.
Some items of interest that have been approved include the Youth Options Courses. These are college courses students can take to get duel credit for both high school and college. Also, no restrictions were set for open enrollment. Neillsville School District must let other districts know if they are setting limits on their enrollment and, in this case, no limit was set.
Teacher’s contracts were also approved. The board needed to wait to do this due to the new bargaining rights put into place. The board also approved the summer courses for 2012 and those will run from June 4th to June 29th.
Another big item was the hiring of the new Head Football coach John O’ Leary, the 5th grade teacher at Neillsville.
