Tri-Star Basketball Results

The Optimist Club of Neillsville held their annual Tri-Star Basketball competition this past Friday for boys and girls ages 8-13.
Over 70 children participated- Here are the top winners in each age category:
8 years - 1st place - Boys: Braden Trunkel, Girls: Bella Opelt
2nd place- Boys: Stone Johnson, Girls: Terren Stockheimer
9 years - 1st place - Boys: Garrett Watton Girls: Ellie Moseid
2nd place - Boys: Brandon Zipfel Girls: Bianca Fischer
10 years- 1st place - Boys: Monte Dietsler Girls: Vanessa Zickert
2nd place- Boys: Trevor Zurakowski Girls: Riley Voigt
11 years- 1st place - Boys: Noah Henchen Girls: Jenna Byrne
2nd place- Boys: Joe Anason Girls: Emily Voigt
12 years- 1st place - Boys: Logan Matson Girls: Gabi Tomlin
2nd place- Boys: Nolan Watton Girls: Taylor Hand
13 years- 1st place - Boys: Austin Zipfel Girls: Mindy Schoengarth
2nd place- Boys: Logan Brody Girls: Ashlee Diestler
The event included competition in passing, dribbling and shooting skills. Each irst place winner received a plaque, while all other participants received medals or ribbons. The first place winners in the local contest now have the opportunity to compete in the state Tri-Star competition held in Fond du Lac on April 28th.
