Withee Man to Stand Trial for his Role in Deadly Car Crash

-A Withee man will stand trial for his role in a deadly car crash in 2009.
24-year-old Dennis Martin is charged with Homicide by Negligent Operation of a Vehicle. According to the criminal complaint, Martin was operating a refrigerated milk truck in the Town of Beaver, in northeastern Clark County, when he ran a yield sign, and struck a vehicle operated by 41-year-old Joan Beyer of Loyal.
Beyers was killed in the accident. Witnesses told authorities Martin was very familiar with the route. He was charged in 2010 and has been free on a $2,500 signature bond. His trial is scheduled to start February 15th in Clark County Circuit Court. If convicted, he could spend ten years in prison.
