Holiday Travelers Will Have Company
Wednesday, December 21st, 2011 -- 11:09 am Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director
Holiday travelers will have more company on the roads this year.
AAA Wisconsin predicts 92 million people will be traveling between December 23 and January 12, an increase of 1.4% from last year.
There will be 1.8 million travelers from Wisconsin.
If you’ve got a trip planned, you’ll pay more for gasoline then you did last year, but much less than earlier this year.
Wisconsingasprices.com reports the statewide average is about $3.18 per gallon. It ranges from $2.99 in southeastern Wisconsin to around $3.50 in Superior.
Last year, the cost was $3.08 per gallon, but the price spiked at well over $4 per gallon back in the spring.
