A 31-year-old Black River Falls woman has been put on probation after she posed as a nurse to get prescription medicine from a Black River Falls hospital.

The Jackson County Chronicle reports Wendy Lee Running Horse reached a plea deal in the case by which charges of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud was reduced to obstruction of an officer. She pleaded no contest to the latter charge last month.

Authorities say she told Walmart pharmacy employees she was a nurse when she called in a prescription for 60 pills of Robaxin and 60 pills of Vicodin.

She’ll spend one year on probation and pay $243 in court costs and other fees.
