MARSHFIELD WOMAN ABDUCTED AT GUNPOINT; SUSPECT IN CUSTODY

The Marshfield Police Department’s Special Response Team was activated Monday morning after a woman reported being abducted at gunpoint.
According to a press release, police were dispatched at around 5:22 a.m. after a 19-year-old woman reported her former boyfriend took her against her will as she was leaving her place of employment.
The suspect, a 25-year-old Marshfield man, held her against her will for about four-and-one-half-hours.
The Special Response Team was sent to a residence in the 900 block of North Central Avenue when the man surrendered without incident.
The incident remains under investigation.
