CRASH INJURES THREE

Three people were sent to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision east of Neillsville Friday morning.

According to Jim Backus of the Clark County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle driven by 76-year-old Jerry Schmitz of Granton was westbound on U.S. Highway 10 when it struck a northbound vehicle entering the highway from Cardinal Avenue.

The accident happened at about 9:30 a.m.

Both drivers and a 77 year-old female passenger in the Schmitz vehicle were transported to Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville with unknown injuries.

UPDATE: A family members tells us all involved in the crash are going to be OK.
