PUBLIC HEARINGS ON COMPREHENSIVE PLAN THIS WEEK
Monday, October 31st, 2005 -- 9:46 am
Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

The Planning, Zoning and Solid Waste Committee has already recommended the County Board pass the “Clark County 2025 Comprehensive Plan”. Now they will hold three public meetings on the proposed document this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The committee will then meet on November 14th and could make some final tweaks to the plan before the November 15th County Board meeting.

Currently, 16 of the county’s 46 municipalities are involved in the planning process, though only seven had adopted their local plans as Friday.

Land located in municipalities not involved in the process will be labeled “unplanned land” in the county’s document.

The plan is viewable at county libraries and is also available on the county’s website.

The public hearings will be: Tuesday, November 1 at the Clark County Health Care Center Gymnasium, in Owen; Wednesday, November 2 at the Loyal American Legion and Thursday, November 3 at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Neillsville. All meetings start at 7:30 p.m.
