The head of a major area employer has been elected to lead the Wisconsin Technical College System Board.
Mark Tyler, the founder and CEO of OEM Fabricators, began serving a one-year term as president of the board at the July 13 meeting at Gateway Technical College in Racine. Tyler succeeds Stan Davis in this leadership role.
Tyler was elected by the 13-member board, which establishes statewide policies and standards for educational programs and services provided by the 16 technical colleges. The board also administers state and federal aids to the colleges. Tyler will also represent the WTCS Board on the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents.
