A bank with several locations in our area has officially been absorbed by a Canadian firm.
M & I Bank officially merged into Toronto's BMO Financial Group Tuesday.
Staggering real estate losses – especially in Arizona, rocked M & I, the state’s largest bank.
The closing of the $4.1 billion all-stock deal ended M&I's run as a Milwaukee-based bank that began in 1847.
You’ll still see the M & I Bank name for another 18 months, but branches will eventually be referred to as “BMO Harris Bank.”
M & I has branches in Marshfield, Loyal and Neillsville.
