URBAN'S A 'DROP ZONE' FOR TROOP SUPPLIES
Friday, October 21st, 2005 -- 2:18 pm Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director
A local car dealership has been named a “drop zone” for an effort to support U.S. troops. Urban’s Sales and Service in Neillsville is one of 2,800 Jeep dealerships around the country taking part in Operation Gratitude’s holiday donation drive. "All the Jeep dealers nationwide are collection comfort items for the troops overseas," explains Craig Sigurdson of Urban’s Sales and Service. "They will be given to Operation Gratitude. It's a non-profit organization that collects comfort items, letters and so forth and ships them to service members around the World." Some recommended items are chewing gum, CDs, and DVDs. You can find more ideas at www.operationgratitude.com The donations will be accepted through November 12th.
