FORMER STATE SEN. INVOLVED IN CAPITOL FRACAS

A strange scene at the Capitol Tuesday.

Former State Senator Dave Zien was on hand for the Assembly passage of the concealed carry bill. He’s been a longtime supporter of the measure.

Zien, who lost his leg in a motorcycle accident in March, wheeled around the Rotunda where protesters were singing. On-line reports indicated he wheeled his chair over protesters' belongings while shouting “Walker For President.”

Two men who were with Zien, draped "Don't Tread On Me" flag over the singers' heads.

The two men were Green Bay resident Henry Rahr and Shorewood, Minn., resident Eugene German.

One of the protesters said Rahr and German were bumping into him along with other singers and grabbing their banners and that Rahr put him in a headlock and punched him in the face chipping a tooth.

Rahr, German and one protester were arrested for disorderly conduct.
