Neillsville police are investigating 2 car break-ins that were reported last week, but believe there may be more victims that haven’t come forward yet.

Police chief Brad Lindner says they received two reports of cars being broken into on the city’s south side late Thursday night, or early Friday morning.

A suspect was arrest in Marshfield. Police say the amount of recovered property leads them to believe he took items from more than just two vehicles.

The suspect also allegedly admitted to smashing the window of a vehicle and taking someone’s wallet, but that crime hasn’t been reported to authorities.

Lindner says residents should check their vehicles and report any missing property.
