LOYAL PROMOTES SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

A Texas native has been tapped to lead the Loyal School District.
The Loyal School Board selected current K-12 principal Cale Jackson to replace Graeme Williams as superintendent when Williams retires from the post on June 30th.
The TRG reports Jackson was among four candidates who went through the interview process.
His promotion comes at a difficult time for the school. Voters in the district have turned back two revenue cap exemption referendums in the past two years, and the proposed state budget looks to pare back more state funding and local revenues.
Jackson tells the TRG he doesn’t plan to make massive changes in his first year on the job.
