BERG EARNS ALL-CONFERENCE, O-F WINS CLOVERBELT TITLE

Senior Nathan Berg of Neillsville earned All-Conference honors in boys golf as he finished 8th in the Cloverbelt Conference. Osseo-Fairchild won the Conference title, 10 points better than Marshfield Columbus, Neillsville finished 5th in the conference this year. At Thursday's Cloverbelt Conference final match at Wild Ridge in Eau Claire, Osseo-Fairchild took first followed by Mfld Columbus, Altoona, Cadott and Stanley-Boyd in the top 5. Neillsville finished 6th. Freshman, Matt Sieg of Osseo-Fairchild was medalist with a 77, Berg shot a 90 to lead Neillsville. Freshman Gabrielle Curtiss of Altoona finished the season as the top individual in the conference with 81 points, Sieg finished second. Another freshman, Joe Markgren of Osseo finished 3rd on the season.
