The U.S. Highway 10 project continues to move forward.

The Governor recently signed a $14-million contract to expand 3.7 miles of US 10 to a four-lane expressway between Stadt Road and White Oak Road in the towns of Marshfield and Auburndale.

Construction is scheduled to begin Monday.

Hoffman Construction is the prime contractor for the project. Work includes reconstructing the intersections of Wood County T and Day Road with US 10, constructing several frontage roads, and constructing new bridges on US 10 at Mill Creek.

Construction is scheduled for completion by November 17, 2011.

During construction, US 10 will remain open to two lanes of traffic. Motorists can expect to encounter minimal delays and traffic impacts.
