NEILLSVILLE F.D. IN ACTION

The Neillsville Fire Department was called to the scene of a house fire on East 5th Street. According to fire chief Matt Meyer, the call came in at around 12:50 p.m. on Monday afternoon. The home, located at 301 East 5th street, sustained extensive damage to the upstairs area. Meyer says the fire apparently started near a bed, though it’s not known exactly how. The fire remains under investigation, but was not suspicious in nature. The crew spent around an hour-and-half on the scene. There were no injuries.
