Voters will head to the polls Tuesday to settle a number of local school board, town and city races.

Voters in the Granton School District will choose two new board members as incumbents Jeff Andrews and Lois Garbisch chose not to seek reelection.

John Richmond, Omar Young, Doug Eichten and Terry Foss are vying for the seat. Voters will be asked to vote for not more than two candidates.

There’s a race in the Loyal School District for the seat representing the area south of STH 98. Tom Odeen and Rick Rueth are seeking the position.

Voters in the Spencer School District will vote on a $675,000 revenue cap exemption referendum that would sunset after the 2015-16 school year.

There will be numerous races for town chairman around the area. Locally, Pine Valley chairman Walter Wetzel is being challenged by Bishop Kolano; in the Town of Grant, Ron Garbisch is being challenged by Harold Drescher; in the Town of York, Noel Olson is being challenged by Bill Elmhorst; and in the Town of Lynn Casey Wesenberg is running against Wade Pettit.

Polls around the area open Tuesday morning at 7 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m.
