MEN'S CLASS B BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT RESULTS

The Neillsville Recreation Department held their 31st Annual Men’s Class “B” Basketball Tourney this past weekend at the Neillsville Fieldhouse. Twelve teams competed in the day long event. Reigning as champion was “Auburndale” who defeated “The Rookies” of Eau Claire in a highly contested ballgame for the gold ball. Placing third was the “Apaches” of Auburndale as they bettered “Guiest” of Stanley Boyd for the bronze medals. In the Consolation Bracket “JBC Printing” of Neillsville and “Alice’s All Stars” of Wausau were the top performers . Also participating in the tourney was the “Sun Drop” of Shawano, “Schoezel” of Colby, “Sweepy” of Stevens Point & “Big Tymers” of Neillsville A great number of Neillsville High School alumni basketball players participated, making for a day of fun and reminiscing. Proceeds of the tournament go towards subsidizing youth sports at the Neillsville Recreation Department.
