Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

It’s been a wet 12-months.

The National Weather Service in La Crosse has looked back on their data and discovered the 12-month period from March 31st of last year to March 26th of this year was the 2nd wettest such period on record.

44.7-inches of precipitation have been recorded during the period; that’s second only to the 12-month period that ended on March 31st, 1882 when 45.1-inches of precipitation were recorded.

It’s also interesting to note the actual above normal precipitation period didn’t begin until June of last year.
