ADULT VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT RESULTS

The Neillsville Recreation Department in cooperation with the Neillsville High School Volleyballl program held their “21st Annual” Adult Men’s & Women’s Tournament on Saturday, March 19th at the Neillsville Fieldhouse. Fourteen teams competed in the women’s tourney with “Cobra Kai” of Eau Claire being crowned the champion. Neillsville alumni, Liz Langreck and Katie (Urban) Officer along with Ashley Kren, Anna Goebel, Erin Hanson and Nicki Vuchetich comprised the winning team. Placing second was “Orville Reddy Blocker” out of Onalaska with “Athens” third and “Looney’s of Marshfield fourth. Placing 5th-8th were: “Sassy 6” of Mondovi, “Whatever” of Neillsville, “JRH Masonry” of Marshfield, and “Bakerville Sports Bar“ of Marshfield. In the Consolation bracket, “Little Bull Falls” of Pittsville bested “Thompson Motors” of Osseo, “Plumbing Plus” of Stratford and “Kiss My Pass” of Marshfield. In the battle for the “Toliet Bowl”, local squads “Four Star Dairy” upended “2010 Net Threats”. In the men’s portion of the tourney, five teams competed for the championship with “HCI” of Eau Claire taking home the top prize. Placing second through 5th respectively were: “Nothin But Net” of Marshfield, “Spank It” of Chippewa Falls, “Beer Guts” of Tomah and “Thompson Motors” of Osseo. TheRec. Dept. would like to thank the Green Lantern, Drippy Creek, Strike Time Lanes, Degans Sports Bar and the Brickyard Bar & Grill for their support in sponsoring the very successful tourney. Proceeds are shared between the Rec. Dept. and the Neillsville High School girls volleyball program which provides manpower to conduct the huge event.
