YOUTH BOOSTER CLUB BASKETBALL RESULTS

The Neillsville Booster Club held their annual Girl's Youth Basketball Tournament this past Sunday with 27 area 5th - 8th grade teams competing. Placing first in the 5th grade division was Marshfield as ended the day 3-0. Second place went to Wi Rapids Assumption. Neillsville won the consolation bracket beating Alma Center 25-18. In the sixth grade bracket again it was Marshfield reigning as champion. Neillsville captured the silver medals with a 3-1 record. In the seventh grade division, Stanley-Boyd ruled supreme as they dumped Auburndale in the final. Spencer took third. In the 8th grade division it was Marshfield downing Neillsville in a hard fought contest to take first place. Fall Creek took third. 43 games were contested throughout the day and the Booster Club would like to thank the many volunteers who helped officiate, scorekeep, take tickets or work in the concession stand. All proceeds are used to support youth sports at Neillsville schools.
