CHEERS! VODKA PLANT COULD BE COMING TO THORP

A vodka distillery could be coming to Thorp, bringing with it an intoxicating boost to the local economy. While some details need to be finalized, city officials have earned a “firm commitment” Pure Water Lake Distilling Company will build the distillery in the community’s development park bringing a potential $26-million development. The plant would produce as many as 3 million bottles of vodka each year, made from potatoes that would come from the Plover. The vodka would be sold under the brand name Silver Birch Vodka.
