GAS PRICES CONTINUE THEIR CLIMB

If you’re like us, the mere sight of the needle getting close to “E” on the fuel gauge makes you wince.
Gas prices have exploded in recent weeks, up almost .50-cents from the beginning of the year.
According to AAA the current price for a gallon of unleaded gas in Wisconsin is hovering just above $3.50--$3.49 here in Neillsville. In January that price per gallon was closer to $3.00.
The reason, according to many analysts, is a perfect storm of factors, including unrest in the Middle East and an improving economy that’s increased usage.
The current national average is about $3.41. The highest prices are out in California where customers are paying $3.85 to fill up their tank.
