DRIVER, 13, PULLED OVER FOR SPEEDING

A 13-year-old Jackson County boy could face charges after a state trooper pulled him over for speeding early this morning.

According to the State Patrol, the lad was driving on STH 95 near Taylor when a trooper attempted to stop his vehicle for speed and equipment violations. The vehilce finally pulled over after being followed for 2 miles.

The trooper made contact with the driver of the vehicle and determined he was only 13 and had taken the vehicle without his mother’s knowledge to get fuel. The driver was returned to his mother.

Reports will be filed for possible charges.
