NEILLSVILLE GIRLS CLINCH 6TH STRAIGHT ECC TITLE

With their win over Marshfield Columbus last night, the Neillsville Warrior girls basketball teamed clinched their 6th straight Eastern Cloverbelt Conference title. Neillsville improved to 14-0 in ECC play and 19-0 overall. During this 6 year run Neillsville is 85-3 in conference play, with 2 games left to play this year. They're averaging 21 wins overall as well in the last 6 seasons. The Warriors will have a showdown on March 5th for the Cloverbelt Conference Championship when they'll meet unbeaten and number one ranked Eau Claire Regis at Osseo-Fairchild. It will mark the first time that Neillsville will play a team other than Osseo-Fairchild in the Conference Championship since their 6 year run began. With their 6 consecutive titles, Neillsville becomes the first team to win that many in a row since Owen-Withee won or tied for the top spot in the East 11 years in a row from 1973-74 to 1983-84. Neillsville will host Owen-Withee this Friday at the Fieldhouse.
