ONE DEAD IN 9-VEHICLE PILE-UP

At 10:15 AM on Thursday February 17, 2011 a crash occurred on WIS 29 EB at County P in CLARK County near OWEN.
The crash involved 1 fatality and 7 injuries.
The details of the crash are as follows:
Three separate crashes involving nine vehicles occurred at approximately 10:15 a.m. today on STH 29 eastbound at CTH P in Clark County resulting in multiple injuries, and at the time of this news release, one fatality. Driver behavior and limited visibility (dense fog) may have been contributing factors. The crashes involved 3 semi units, 1 straight truck and 5 autos. The NW Region State Patrol is investigating, writing and reconstructing the crash scenes. Also assisting were Wisconsin State Patrol personnel from Wausau, the Clark County Sheriff’s Department and multiple local fire and EMS agencies.
Eastbound traffic is currently being re-routed.
