NEILLSVILLE WOMAN INJURED IN FATAL CRASH

The La Crosse County Sheriff's office says a 30-year-old man from Mindoro was killed after two cars collided in the town of Farmington. The second vehicle was operated by a Neillsville woman.
The sheriff's office says a vehicle driven by Michael Storandt crossed the center line of a county highway just before 6 p.m. Saturday and struck a car driven by 25-year-old Tara Strangfeld from Neillsville. Storandt was the only occupant in his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Strangfeld and a 53-year-old passenger were taken to a La Crosse hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies say the crash is still under investigation but say they believe the icy roads were a contributing factor.
