ROENZ'S DAY IN COURT DELAYED

A longtime Neillsville teacher and church treasurer won’t make his initial court appearance on theft charges until next month.
62-year-old John Roenz is accused of stealing around $140,000 from Calvary Lutheran Church since 2003. He’s also facing six counts of income tax fraud.
He was initially charged back in early November, but still hasn’t appeared in court. The initial appearance has been rescheduled several times as Roenz has changed attorneys. He is now scheduled to appear on February 14.
