22-year-old Jeffrey Geerts from Abbotsford was one of eight that died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
The victims started a fire in the building to stay warm and that carbon monoxide fumes likely rendered them unsconscious. The fire went out of control early Tuesday, destroying the building and burning bodies beyond recognition.
