NEILLSVILLE GIRLS 6-0 AFTER WIN

The Neillsville Warrior girls basketball team is now 6-0 after beating Belleville in the Black River Falls Tournament Championship last night 52-30. The Warriors used a strong defensive effort once again as they held the Wildcats to single digits in all 4 quarters. Senior Quinn Rear, the Wildcats leading scorer, had 34 points on Monday night vs. Independence but with Sami Pfieffer playing tight man-to-man defense on her, Rear only scored 2 points. Neillsville was led by Jenny Lindner with 16 points, McKenzie Trunkel had 9 while Corina Craig and Caitlynne Naughton each had 7 points. The Warriors will be at LaCrosse Aquinas on Tuesday night. You can hear that game live on 92.7 FM WPKG starting at 7:30.
