DREAMS OF WHITE CHRISTMAS COMING TRUE

There’s no doubt that we’ll have a white Christmas this year as a couple more winter weather systems descend on our area.

There’s a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for our listening area from noon today through midnight tonight. We could get between two and four inches of snow.

"Then when the snow diminishes, it may turn over to freezing drizzle," warns Meteorologist Andrew Jost with the National Weather Service in La Crosse.

Folks with weekend plans should really keep an eye on the forecast. Computer models indicate we could see a pretty significant storm system, followed by some arctic cold.

"About Saturday night, the winds will kick up, so we could be dealing with some blowing and drifting snow. It will certainly be something to monitor over the next couple days," he says.

Some forecast models show us in line for between 6-8 inches of snow on Saturday. High temperatures on Sunday will be in the single digits, with wind chills of around -20 to –30 for Sunday Night and Monday.
