LOYAL, GRANTON SCHOOL BOARDS TO MEET

Two area schools facing budget concerns will meet Monday night.
The Loyal School Board contacted Granton after their revenue cap exemption referendum failed earlier this month and requested a meeting to discuss “collaboration, cooperation, and /or possible consolidation between the two schools.”
Granton’s board unanimously agreed to meet with Loyal, but several board members indicated they weren’t interested in consolidation or cooping sports programs with them at this time. The Granton Board is more interested in discussing the possibility of sharing staff members in some form or fashion.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. in Loyal.
