DWTS TRIGGERS STAND-OFF

A major stand-off in Dane County the other night was apparently touched off by a bad performance on Dancing With The Stars.
We’re no making this up.
Authorities were called to a home south of Black Earth after a woman reported her husband was intoxicated, armed and suicidal. By the time deputies arrived, he had already shot at his television set.
What triggered 66-year old Steven Cowan’s rage? He was angry over the way Bristol Palin performed on Dancing with the Stars.
Communication between authorities and Cowan continued over the 15 hour standoff. Neighbors and Cowan's doctor also kept in touch with him.
Cowan finally surrendered peacefully around 11 a.m. yesterday morning.
He's been booked into the Dane County Jail on a Domestic Disorderly Conduct charge and 2nd Degree Reckless Endangerment.
