STATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS THIS WEEK

The 2010 WIAA State Football Championships are coming this Thursday and Friday to Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.

Thursday, Nov. 18

Division 7 - Gilman (12-1) vs. Catholic Central (12-1) - 10 a.m.

Division 6 - Edgar (13-0) vs. St. Mary's Springs (12-1) - 1 p.m.

Division 5 - Colby (13-0) vs. Brillion (13-0) - 4 p.m.

Division 4 - Kewaunee (13-0) vs. Brodhead/Juda (11-2) - 7 p.m.



Friday, Nov. 19

Division 3 - West De Pere (13-0) vs. Catholic Memorial (11-2) - 10 a.m.

Division 2 - Cedarburg (12-1) vs. Waunakee (13-0) - 1 p.m.

Division 1 - Stevens Point (10-3) vs. Waukesha West (12-1) - 4 p.m.


All the championship games will be televised live on cable by FS Wisconsin. Check local cable listings for the channel in your area.



LAST YEAR: Marquette defeated Menomonee Falls 7-0 in the Division 1 championship game. In Division 2, Waunakee defeated two-time defending champion Kimberly 34-21, and Reedsburg defeated West De Pere in the Division 3 title game, 34-27. Big Foot was crowned the Division 4 champion with a 42-13 triumph over Kewaunee, and St. Mary’s Springs won the Division 5 championship with a 42-7 win over Arcadia. In Division 6, Edgar won its fifth title with a 46-7 win over Regis, and Catholic Central defeated McDonell Central in Division 7, 27-15, to win its second consecutive championship.
