HORNETS AND WILDCATS STATE BOUND
Saturday, November 13th, 2010 -- 7:02 am
Posted by Larry Hoeser, Sports Director

The Edgar Wildcats and Colby Hornets are heading to State in high school football. The Colby Hornets improved to 13-0 as shut out Bonduel in their Level 4 Division 5 playoff game on Friday night. The Hornets will play the winner of the Brillion/Darlington game for the Division 5 State Championship next Thursday at 4 pm at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. The Edgar Wildcats will look to defend their Division 6 Title next Thursday after they beat Blair-Taylor Friday night 37-7. Edgar will also come into the Championship game unbeaten at 13-0. It should be an interesting Division 6 Championship game as Edgar will face a team that dropped down a division - they will face defending Division 5 champion St. Mary's Springs (12-1) on Thursday at 1 pm in Madison. Stevens Point, Marshfield and Gilman all have a chance to go to State too as they play their Level 4 games today.
