Tuesday, November 9th, 2010 -- 10:21 am Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director
A standoff outside of Black River Falls ended yesterday when law enforcement entered the home and arrested two people.
Authorities were called to the home in the Town of Adams at around 2 p.m. when a family member reported a woman was being assaulted by her boyfriend.
A responding officer heard a gunshot from inside.
The occupants wouldn’t negotiate, even when authorities approached the home with an armored vehicle.
Officers eventually entered the home and arrested 26-year-old Robert Heimlich for resisting officers, recklessly endangering safety and disorderly conduct while armed.
20-year-old Jewel Funmaker was arrested for resisting officers. Alcohol is believed to have been involved.
