AREA'S YOUNG FARMERS HONORED

Some area farmers have been honored for keeping the tradition alive.
The Clark County UW-Extension office recently honored the “2010 Outstanding Young Farmer” for Clark County.
The nominees were Jeff & Mark Elmhorst, Todd & Jessica Ertl, Adam & Kristina Luchterhand, and Nick & Danae Stieglitz. They were judged on their progress in agriculture careers, soil and water conservation, and community involvement. Jeff &
Mark Elmhorst of Granton won the outstanding young farmer award and will compete in January at the state level in Eau Claire.
