FIRE DEP'T CALLED TO ACTION

The Neillsville Fire Department responded to a fire Wednesday night. According to Fire Chief Matt Meyer, they received a call of a hollow tree burning in Schuster Park at around 7:04 p.m. The fire crew cut the tree down and extinguished the fire. They spent about 20-minutes on the scene. There’s speculation some kids may have set the tree on fire.
