The Stanley Correctional Institution has a new warden. Wisconsin Department of Corrections Secretary Matthew Frank announced Wednesday the appointment of Pamela Wallace as the new Warden for the Stanley Correctional Institution and Chippewa Valley Correctional Treatment Facility.

Wallace has been Deputy Warden at Stanley since January 2004. Stanley Correctional Institution, located just outside Stanley, is a medium-security institution for male offenders. It is one of the largest medium-security institutions in the DOC system.

Chippewa Valley Correctional Treatment Facility, located in Chippewa Falls, is a minimum-security institution for male offenders and the state’s first prison dedicated to alcohol and drug treatment. The facility opened in 2004.

Wallace will replace Dan Benik, who has led both facilities and is retiring this month after 34 years of state service. The appointment takes effect September 4.
